Training: Strength Training

"...the goal is strength...on a strength day and I'm trying to get stronger...should I take weight off or should I do less reps? So, in strength, the primary driver is intensity. ...you need to keep that weight on the bar.  If you do 3 reps or 4 reps fine, who really cares.  Don't drop a load cause the load is the stimulus to get stronger."

"If now we are on the spectrum of hypertrophy, hypertrophy doesn't care about performance...that exact same workout, when the goal [is] hypertrophy, you would take weight off and keep the reps high."

"The answer is totally different depending why you are there."

Mental: Training: Studying

"If you study something twice, retention goes up.  ...studying, and waiting before you study more produces even better longterm memory. This is called 'the spacing effect'.  ...the more different times and ways you can encode the information...the better you will understand and longer you will know it."

"...concept called 'interleaving' consists of working on or studying one skill for a short period of time, then switching to another one, and maybe a third, then back to the first."
